Micah -

Can't make NYC but thanks for the offer. The weekend before Thanksgiving is not mine - Mrs. Mando and I will be knee deep in mushroom compost and peat moss this weekend. Okay, I will be knee deep, she will be telling me where to take my knees.

We are putting the Fall-Winter planting in: garlic, three varieties of onion, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, mustard greens - typical winter crop. We planted bak choy (not bok, bak) a few weeks ago and are already eating it. It's better than any lettuce we have planted - sweet and crisp and so far appears to be immune to those bat rastard cabbage looper worms that I battled all summer.

Still accumulating gold and silver - lots of junk silver. Doggedly paying down debt, almost there. Haven't developed the TN compound other than having the land, still looking for a suitable area out in the Blue Ridge or Shenandoahs somewhere between Charlottesville and Roanoke. Mrs. Mando (and therefore I) has decided we will be spending more time in SE Virginia than I had planned - but I recognize the "I am not talking about this anymore." look. I am putting together plans for a 4 panel solar system (mounted on a movable 2 x 4 frame) that is grid tied. Still doing the ROI calculations to see if I want to put in a deep cycle battery bank so I can completely dump the grid when I want to or to serve as an emergency backup in the event of interruptions on the grid. I can sell power back if I am grid tied, but my intent is to have a friend install the connection so I can dump at will and take my chances that I won't get inspected.

Lots of practice time at the range and continuing to try and educate people on the perils of a debt based monetary system and a central banking system that operates independent of audit or oversight - yet directly impacts each and every one of us.

Not sure what I am going to do next week...........
